SlataDoc’s custom-built Word Add-in helps lawyers translate legal documents by using AI to do the heavy lifting within Microsoft Word itself. Our handy one-click formatting tool also eliminates formatting issues that often crop up when faced with bilingual documents.

Similar to the built-in translation tool in MS Word, SlataDoc’s Word Add-in also brings AI translation directly into a lawyer’s normal workflow. The difference is: 1. MS Word replaces the original text with the translated text, while SlataDoc adds the translation next to the original text. 2. By overlaying SlataDoc’s language models on top of paid-for translation services for different language pairs, the quality of translation is improved.

The quality of SlataDoc’s translation is much higher than the freely available Google Translate. There’s also no need to waste time copying and pasting blocks of translation when the entire document can be translated at a click of a button.

Unfortunately, the SlataDoc Word add-in is presently NOT compatible with Word for Mac. However, it is compatible with all other versions of Microsoft Word.

Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial.

A BETA version is a pared-down solution that works but might have an issue or two that we are ironing out. As such, we offer the solution at a significantly lower price for a limited period.

To subscribe, simply click on the “Subscribe” button, fill out a simple sign-up page and card details. The card will only be charged once the free trial period is over.

We accept all major credit and debit cards for subscriptions.

No, there is no limit on the number of documents that may be translated under the subscription. Instead, there is a per-page charge for each page translated, estimated based on approximately 1800 characters per page

Yes, customers can cancel their subscription at any time by sending an email to info@slatadoc.com with CANCELLATION as the subject line.

We do not offer refunds for cancelled subscriptions. The subscription will run until the end of the subscribed month.

We host our data with Amazon, which is ISO27017/8 compliant from a cloud security perspective, ensuring the security of all translated documents.

We are ISO27001 compliant in managing customer data and use external card processing providers who are PCI-DSS compliant to ensure card information is handled securely.

We are GDPR compliant and do not share customer data with third parties unless explicit consent is provided.

We cannot be held responsible for inaccurate AI translations, and lawyers should perform their duty of care in ensuring the accuracy of the translations. AI translations are meant to facilitate speed and easy access, but it is advised for lawyers to review and edit the translations as needed. Edited translations can be saved (coming soon) for reuse to speed up the process further.

Lawyers can review and edit the translations themselves or through their own third-party vendors. Additionally, our translation memory (coming soon) functionality allows lawyers to save their edited translations for increased efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
