Unfortunately, the SlataDoc Word add-in is presently NOT compatible with Word for Mac. However, it is compatible with all other versions of Microsoft Word.

Lawyers waste and hour a day on house styles and formatting because the built-in MS Word numbering and styles functionality is not designed specifically to deal with the complex numbering and heading requirements of lawyers. SlataDoc’s add-in allows the user to have full control over numbering and headings all in one easy to use and intuitive interface without having to resort to using old, often corrupted templates. 

From a translation perspective, similar to the built-in translation tool in MS Word, SlataDoc’s Word Add-in also brings AI translation directly into a lawyer’s normal workflow. The difference is: 1. MS Word has a limit of 5,000 characters and replaces the original text with the translated text, while SlataDoc has no limit and while it can also replace the original text, it can also display the translation next to the original text – making it much easier to review. 2. By overlaying SlataDoc’s language models on top of paid-for translation services for different language pairs, the quality of translation is improved.

The quality of SlataDoc’s translation is much higher than the freely available Google Translate. There’s also no need to waste time copying and pasting blocks of translation when the entire document can be translated at a click of a button.

No, there is no limit on the number of documents that may be translated under the subscription. Depending on the subscription package, there is a per-page charge for each page translated, based on 1800 characters (including spaces) per page.

Yes, customers can cancel their subscription at any time by sending an email to info@slatadoc.ai with CANCELLATION as the subject line.

We do not offer refunds for cancelled subscriptions. The subscription will run until the end of the subscribed month.

We host our data with Amazon, which is ISO27017/8 compliant from a cloud security perspective, ensuring the security of all translated documents.

We are ISO27001 compliant in managing customer data and use external card processing providers who are PCI-DSS compliant to ensure card information is handled securely.

We follow GDPR guidelines and do not share customer data with third parties unless explicit consent is provided.

We cannot be held responsible for inaccurate AI translations. Even translations made by human translators require review for legal nuance and lawyers should perform their duty of care in ensuring the accuracy of the translations. AI translations are meant to facilitate speed and easy access, but it is advised for users to review and edit the translations as needed. Edited translations can be saved (coming soon) for reuse to speed up the process further.

Lawyers can review and edit the translations themselves or through their own third-party vendors. Additionally, our translation memory (coming soon) functionality allows lawyers to save their edited translations for increased efficiency, speed, and accuracy.
